Viktor Kovtun : The main principle is simplicity of forms and easy manufacturing. .Frank Scott: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?. Viktor Kovtun : I tried to focus on the simplicity of forms and comfortable using of this project .Frank Scott: What are your future plans for this award winning design?. Viktor Kovtun : I would like to see the realization of this project in different interiors. .Frank Scott: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?. Viktor Kovtun : It took me two weeks to create this particular concept. .Frank Scott: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?. Viktor Kovtun : The project was just the result of my inspiration. .Frank Scott: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?. Viktor Kovtun : The best way is to lease the production rights for manufacturing this project. .Frank Scott: What made you design this particular type of work?. Viktor Kovtun : I suppose, that this project can be used in different spheres and by any people. .Frank Scott: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?. Viktor Kovtun : Its difficult to answer this question. .Frank Scott: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?. Viktor Kovtun : The name came into my mind, trying to reflect its exterior. .Frank Scott: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?. Viktor Kovtun : Computer, pencil and paper. .Frank Scott: What is the most unique aspect of your design?. Viktor Kovtun : Its difficult to answer this question. .Frank Scott: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?. Viktor Kovtun : I collaborated with my son Yuriy. .Frank Scott: What is the role of technology in this particular design?. Viktor Kovtun : The traditional furniture technologies. .Frank Scott: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?. Viktor Kovtun : Everything was based on my intuition and my skills in furniture manufacturing technologies. .Frank Scott: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?. Viktor Kovtun : Lack of time was the main challenge. .Frank Scott: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?.
