At Design Interviews

Interview with Madiha Jamil : Frank Scott: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?. Madiha Jamil : The Idea behind this artwork is to symbolize the culture and style of 60s era in Pakistan. The characters are on the scooter which was the common mean of transport for local people at that time. The artwork represents the characters relishing the basant festival in the walled city of Lahore. The inspiration for the characters were the real life actors of that time. Studying the fashion, Styles and culture of that era and illustrate it to young audience. .Frank Scott: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?. Madiha Jamil : Since 3D is the latest medium of entertainment now a days, the key focus in designing this art work was to amalgamate 60s style with this medium to represent 60’s era. By selecting 3D as my medium I would be hitting the larger audience, as 60’s generation would emotional relate to that time and for younger audience it will be a source of getting to know how it was like then socially and culturally. .Frank Scott: What are your future plans for this award winning design?. It was always fascinating to see my parents go back and watch those old Lollywood movies and appreciating them even now. That triggered this idea of producing a 60s environment and juxtaposition it with the latest medium of entertainment. .Frank Scott: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?.
