Cats In The Bag
Cats In The Bag is a series of framed illustrations that show cats resting inside bags. Each artwork depicts a simple scene from daily life with a cat. The series presents long-haired, short-haired and hairless cats, paired with bags of different shapes. The illustrations are painted digitally and then printed on acrylic plates by silk screen. Several printed plates are stacked in a custom frame, with paper and a cutting sheet placed at the back, so the image appears three-dimensional when the viewing angle shifts. Each square piece measures 422 by 422 millimeters.
Cats In The Bag Illustration by Kozo Asada was selected as an outstanding example of communication design by the A' Design Award. Cats In The Bag Illustration received the Iron A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2021.
