Ge Wu Zhi Heng
Ge Wu Zhi Heng is a seal script typography design that studies the balance between human beings and all things. The work is based on Xiaozhuan, an early form of Chinese seal script known for its concentration and authenticity. The title comes from the Book of Rites, where the words mean to explore and understand all things and to reach a state of balance. The design links traditional Chinese philosophy with modern seal text design. The aim is to question how people move from real life to virtual life and how balance can be kept.
Ge Wu Zhi Heng Seal Text Design by Lu Zhao was recognized as a grand illustration of communication design by the A' Design Award. Ge Wu Zhi Heng Seal Text Design won the Bronze A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2021. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize that celebrates superior design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
