Meet Up
Meet Up is a digital collage artwork that expresses peaceful coexistence with nature. The composition was created in Photoshop using vintage public domain images and purchased images of plants. A cut out image was placed within the scene, and the plants in the foreground were blurred to add a sense of perspective and to highlight the main visual point. Only the flowers at the center were colored, which adjusts the overall balance and contrast. The shadow of a plant suggests warm sunlight, birdsong and calm outdoor air.
Meet Up Collage Artwork by Kaoruko Iizuka was recognized as a grand example of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Meet Up Collage Artwork won the Iron A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2022. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which honors superior design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
