Withered
Withered is a poster series created to promote environmental protection. The design is based on positive and negative shapes. Withered trees form the main image, and the reversed shapes reveal the appearance of human internal organs. The visual link suggests that wasting natural resources harms people themselves. The message asks viewers to treat nature with the same care given to the human body. The posters are made with four-color printing and are displayed in stations and subways as advertisements and printed promotional material. The images are also used as magazine illustrations.
Withered Poster by Jin Qin has been recognized as a creative representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Withered Poster was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2023. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition that recognizes superior design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
