Blessing Gifts
Blessing Gifts is a red envelope design created for the Chinese New Year of the Monkey. The envelope is made of green paper and measures 85 by 165 millimeters. The illustration shows a monkey whose face is formed by a walking cloud, the cartoon character of an environmental education brand in Guangdong, China. The design name refers to a Cantonese expression that means very good. Slogans and illustrations combine New Year greetings with a call for environmental care. The envelopes were given free of charge to companies and to individuals.
Blessing Gifts Blessing Envelope by Weiquan Long was selected as a grand example of communication design by the A' Design Award. Blessing Gifts Blessing Envelope was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2020. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program which honors superior design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
